Sometimes God has to allow the aids that we depend on to be removed, in order for us to stand up and do what we need to do to overcome the obstacles. And then it's yes and amen! Watching TVJ, the Japanese channel on Sky Angel, I see some very lovely blooming trees, similar to our American Dogwood trees, and so like some that I saw on my visit to Barbados. I remember the natives there telling me not to smell the blooms too closely. On a recent occasion, Dr. Gary Spears, president of Northwest Mississippi Community College, and Dr.

Joe Broadway, visited with our county fathers, the board of supervisors, concerning business of the institution. While here, William Hickey brought them by the office and introduced them. As we visited, I shared with them my experience while a student at the college, about 1982 or so, where I received a letter asking if I would like to tryout for the Rangerettes. We had a good laugh. For you who read the paper, you know that Mother Essie Taylor is much past 8 years of age.

We thank God for the many years He has allowed her, and wish for her many, many more. Congratulations to Taylor Hansen and Lindsey Hansen on your winning in the Woodsy Owl Smokey Bear Posters contest and the National Garden Clubs poster poetry contests. Congratulations are also extended to Marcus L. Swearengen upon your selection for and completion of the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS).

We applaud you. Being remembered in prayer are those who have lost loved ones, including Beulah Washington and MaHarreys to sing locally MEDITATION: The church. Christ is the head of the church, and the church is the body of Christ. (Ephesians 5:23) The church is the bride of Christ. (Ephesians The church is a body, not a building.

(I Corinthians You do not join a church. You are born into the body of Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. (Acts Having scarcely introduced you to the church. Who it is. Who is the head, and how you can become a part, I now pose issues that should concern you as far as your salvation and your security in Christ.

How then must we live? Blameless. (I Thessalonians 24) Holy. (I Peter 1:16) And righteous. (Matthew Pastor Benny preached on holiness and righteousness for a year or more, and yet, there seems to be times when yes even question my ability to live it out in these times in which we live, today, and some of the circumstances that I find myself faced with. When the onslaughts continue to be against you so fiercely, it's hard.

But when I remember what Jesus suffered and the price He paid for my redemption, I know I must be steadfast if I am to rule and reign with Christ at His return. Otherwise, His suffering, His death was all in vain. I'm also reminded of the announcement of Jesus when He said, "In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John Also I know that the word says the enemy must return to me seven (7) times everything that he has stolen from me. (Proverbs 6:31 Nephesh-Hebrew rendering) "It is written. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." (Luke 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3) Look out satan.

William Miller, Pharm.D. PHARMACY 13C A Supplement to Reduce the Risk of Breast or Cervical Cancer There appear to be effective dietary or nutritional means to reduce cancer risk by improving estrogen metabolism. Indole-3-carbinol (13C) is found in broccoli, cabbage, and other cruciferous vegetables. In the body, 13C and its active metabolite diindolylemethane (DIM) have been found to be potent agents in protecting against hormone dependent cancers such as breast and cervical cancer. Estrogen stimulates the development of cervical cancer in cells infected with human papillomavirus (HPV).

At Albert Einstein College of Medicine, researchers studied the anti-estrogenic activities of 13C in cervical cells, with the goal of preventing cancer. They concluded 13C has anti-estrogenic activities which can prevent cancer in HPV-infected cervical cells, because it stimulates the CPY1A1 enzyme which induces estrogen to break down to the cancer-fighting metaboliate 2-hydroxyestrone. The potential of 13C to prevent human breast cancer may be partially due to its ability to regulate the ongoing cell cycle by activating important enzymes.
